Nature offers us far more than we often realise. This recurring reflection at ÁBBATTE is the foundation of a new piece we're thrilled to unveil today: a collaboration with the artisanal fashion brand, ALETHEIA.
 
Together, we’ve crafted this 100% alpaca coat, which we have named the AA coat, designed to envelop us in warmth on the coldest days, to comfort and embrace us, almost as a second skin.

With Gavina Ligas and Ayoko Yokota, from ALETHEIA, we share a way of living rooted in a deep respect for the environment, honouring the slow rhythms of craftsmanship and creating beautiful pieces that enhance our sense of joy. A collaboration was simply a natural step.

We began with raw, undyed yarns in two warm, rich tones, shaped by nature itself, to create a reversible double-weave twill fabric. On one side, raw alpaca warp takes the lead; on the other, sandy alpaca weft.

ALETHEIA designed a square-cut pattern to align with the loom's dimensions, ensuring no unused fabric. “We hold great respect for the world we inhabit and for the time that goes into every step… We cannot afford to waste anything. Every inch of fabric is valued; it defines the form, not the other way around. True beauty lies in this simplicity, in seeking what is essential. This coat is more than a fashion piece; it’s an extension of the fabric itself, in its purest, most respectful form,” Gavina explains.
